With roots dating back to 1859, GEHL Company is a producer of high quality capital goods. It has targeted two principal market sectors worldwide with its equipment: agriculture and light industrial construction applications. It has growing market positions in each of these two large industries - one essential to the world's food supply and the other to its transportation and shelter needs.

In 1986, GEHL aggressively moved into the light construction equipment market as it established a separate construction sales division. GEHL serves small contractors, sub-contractors and owner-operators with dirt, lifting and paving equipment.

While GEHL has had a presence in international markets for over 50 years,1973 became another milestone in the international expansion since the European market became a focus for the international sales activities and a 100% subsidiary was formed in the North West of Germany. The GEHL Europe subsidiary carries an extensive stock level of spare parts, whole goods and attachments for quick customer support.
